Scholastics: New Tampa Tigers Pop Warner Football and Cheer

Keeping with our organizational goals to help develop our youth into well rounded, successful individuals and to follow the guidelines as prescribed by the Pop Warner Little Scholars Association, we promote the important of academics.

Pop Warner Little Scholars view academics in two ways. First, each participant must meet a scholastic fitness requirement that is determined by National Pop Warner. Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required. A 2.0 / 70% or the equivalent shall be the minimum grade point average acceptable to participate. Secondly, the academics of each participant is reviewed to determine if eligible for Scholastic All-American status. The All-American Scholastics program is a way to recognize those students who perform well. Students are eligible for All-American consideration if he / she:

• Is currently in grade 5 or higher
• Has a 96% grade point average or better (as calculated by the Scholastic Coordinator)
• Has a complete prior year’s report card

These are the reasons for the requirement for a complete year’s report card.
